MARGO BATCHELDER
Margo began her cosmetology career in 1997 and worked for two highly successful local salons for 10 years. After learning all aspects of the business she opened her own salon in 2007.
Over the course of her career, Margo worked with several nationally known product lines, including Aveda, Paul Mitchell, Matrix, Redkin and TIGI. Margo and Co. now specializes in Oligo products and color.
The business began as a two-chair salon at 93 Western Ave. but by 2013 the business and staff had grown so much the salon relocated to a larger space. The staff has expanded to include six stylists and a nail technician.

APRIL BERANDS
April graduated from Capilo Institute and has a variety of salon experience from the receptionist desk to facials and nails and as a stylist. She stays on trend through trainings at the salon and online tutorials.
Clients at Margo & Co. know her as the “rainbow girl” because of her vibrant bangs, which she does with custom-mixed colors. She has plenty of experience with fashion hair colors and has worn her own hair from white to black and every color in between.
April joined the salon staff at TIGI shows and training sessions in Connecticut and New York City during the past two years.

AMANDA JOHNSON
Amanda is the salon’s talented nail technician. A 2013 graduate of Capilo Institute she has training through world-renowned nail product manufacturer OPI and industry leading artificial nail product company EZ Flow.
Her ability to focus on detail has helped her become proficient in nail design and she can create art for any occasion. Her clients can be confident in her extensive training in salon and implement sanitation.
Amanda began apprenticing in 2016 as a hair stylist and earned her license in 2018.

SARA GOULD
Sara graduated from Capilo Institute and has worked in various salon’s in New England for 10 years, while continuing to update her education through online classes and training.
Sara strives to make every client a better version of themselves, whether with its with a cut, color or perm. She’s excited to be back behind the client chair full time.

ALICIA HILTON
Alicia joined Margo & Co. in spring of 2022 and will complete her degree as a licensed cosmetologist in September.
She decided to become a stylist because she loves people, loves having conversations with them and wants to make them feel beautiful.

ZOIE SPRAGUE
Zoie graduated with her cosmetology degree in October of 2022 and went to work in a Goldwell salon in coastal Maine. After moving to Augusta, she joined the Margo & Co. team in September of 2023.
Zoie joined the cosmetology industry because she loves to make people feel like their best selves. Although she’s new to the industry she’s excited and eager to expand her knowledge and skills to offer the best experience for her clients.

PAIGE COATY-NEFF
Paige graduated from Aveda Institute of Maine in 2023 and is excited to help make people look and feel their best. She joined Margo & Co. in January 2024.
She loves learning new techniques and meeting new people.

BELLA NORRIS
Bella graduated from the Aveda Institute in 2022 and joined the salon soon after. She took some time away to have her first child and became part of the team again in April of 2025.
She loves transformations, both big and small, and strives to send her clients out the door looking and feeling their best.

ELLA FIELD
Ella graduated from Aveda Instuture in April of 2025 and immediately became part of the team at Margo And Co. Cosmetology has always been a passion for her and she loves helping clients to look and feel their best.
Ella is very bubbly and welcoming and she loves meeting new people.
